* The mother-daughter duo emerged victorious on the Lane Tree Golf Club links this week.
Teresa Shearin fired the low round of 78 and claimed game-of-the-week honors. Betty Jean Gurley, Shearin's mother, took low net for the week.
Cathy Garris seized low putts.
JV sports
* Baseball: C.B. Aycock 6, Southern Wayne 3 -- Noah West tossed three innings of three-strikeout scoreless relief in the Golden Falcons' win over the Saints during an Easter tournament contested at Eastern Wayne. West allowed two hits. Logan Runyon started, allowed three runs on three hits and fanned seven SW hitters. Ben Rouse paced Aycock's offense with two hits and two RBI. West (RBI), Hank Smitherman, Tim Naughton and Garrett Joyner provided one hit apiece. The Golden Falcons (14-1 overall) played Rosewood this afternoon.
