* Faith Christian got just enough hits to hold off Teach Homeschool for a 9-8, non-conference win on Tuesday afternoon.
Courtney Dale led the way for the Conquerors with three hits. Elizabethe Weeks and Abigail Pierce each finished with two hits.
Pierce was credited with the win in the pitcher's circle.
Faith Christian (7-2 overall) plays host to Faith Christian of Sanford today.

* Baseball: C.B. Aycock 14, Rosewood 1 (5 inn.) -- Connor Crandall, Noah West and Logan Runyon finished with two hits and two RBI apiece in the mercy-rule win. Garrett Joyner (two RBI), Tim Naughton, Jake Naughton and Ben Rouse (RBI) each supplied one hit. Tim Naughton and Charlie Robertson combined for a two-hitter and five strikeouts on the mound. The Golden Falcons (15-1 overall) play Eastern Wayne today.
