North Lenoir nips Cleveland, 2-1, in ECC softball action

CLAYTON -- Nicole Robinson threw a complete-game, three-hitter as North Lenoir nipped Cleveland, 2-1, on the Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference scene.
Robinson logged six strikeouts for the Hawks, who picked up their second consecutive ECC win of the season.
Blythe Greene led North Lenoir's offense with two hits, while Liz Deal batted 1-for-3 with an RBI.
The Hawks (6-5 overall, 2-3 ECC) play host to Charles B. Aycock on Tuesday.
