Rams stay unbeaten on EPC baseball scene

SNOW HILL -- Greene Central remained unbeaten on the Eastern Plains 2-A Conference scene with an 8-4 victory over Tarboro on the James R. Fulghum Athletic Complex diamond Friday evening.
Trent Murray (RBI), Brian Cobb (RBI) and Landon Elmore (three RBI) pounded out two hits apiece for the Rams. Chad Murphy supplied one hit and two RBI.
Wes Sowers emerged the winning pitcher. He yielded four runs (one earned) on eight hits and struck out 10 Viking batters in 62/3 innings of work.
Greene Central (5-2 overall, 3-0 EPC) visits Kinston on Tuesday.
