GILES R. "BOB" HINSON

Giles Robert "Bob" Hinson, 82, died Sunday morning at SECU Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
He was the son of the late Wiley Robert and Flora Kornegay Hinson.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m. at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery, with pastor Claude Sawyer officiating.
The family will visit with friends from 1 to 1:45p.m. at Shumate -Faulk Funeral Home, and will process to the cemetery following the visitation.
Bob was self-employed as a longhaul truck driver for more than 38 years, and was proud to have served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by a son, Robert Wiley Hinson of Richmond, Va.; two daughters, Debra Williams and husband, Andre, of LaGrange, N.C., and Tammie Kuhn and husband, John, of Cary, N.C.; grandchildren, Kimberly Prescott and her husband, James, and Kelly Schultheiss and her husband, Buddy; and four great-grandchildren.
