Deacon Larry Artis, 70, 507 W. Church St., Pikeville, peacefully succumbed to the Lord's call Sunday at his residence.
He was born to the late James and Queenie Edmundson Artis Friday, Feb. 13, 1948, in Wayne County.
The celebration of his life and legacy will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Deeper Life Church Ministries. His mortal remains will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
Precious memories are held dear by his wife, Gloria Artis of the home, and five children.
Deacon Artis will lie in repose at Haskins Funeral Home Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m.
The family will assemble at residence in preparation for the funeral cortege.
