Virginia Grant Jones, 83, Pink Hill, passed away Thursday, July 26.
She was a graduate of Seven Springs High School and East Carolina University.
She taught in the public school system for 31 years.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Neil Jones and son, Franc Jones.
She is survived by her sons, Chris Jones and wife, Teresa and John Jones and husband, Marc Landau; daughter-in-law, Susie Jones; brothers, James B. Grant and Lynwood Grant and wife, Nancy; sister, Margaret Joyner and husband, Earl; and four grandchildren, Matthew Jones, Jacob Jones, Megan Norwood and Christy Jones.
Visitation will be Monday, July 30, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home.
Funeral will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home, with burial following in Westview Cemetery, Kinston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pink Hill United Methodist Church, c/o Carolyn Whitfield, 313 N. Central Ave., Pink Hill, N.C., 28572.
