John Garrett “ Gary” Hughston, 67, Faison, died Friday at Duke University Medical Center in Durham.
Graveside service will be Saturday in The Pridgen Family Cemetery.
He was born in New Orleans, La., to the late John Edward and Mary Barry Hughston. He was married to Angela Garris Hughston.
Arrangements are by Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory.
