ROGER WAYNE RHODES

July 18, 1953-July 3, 2018

Roger Wayne Rhodes, 64, died Tuesday afternoon at his home.

Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late James Lloyd and Rhoda Guin Rhodes, and was the husband of Sederis Rhodes.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the family visiting with friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Roger had resided in Wayne County for most of his lif,e and retired as a teacher, golf and track coach at Charles B. Aycock High School.

He was a skilled craftsman, who enjoyed woodworking.

In addition to is wife, Roger is survived by a stepdaughter, Macie Whitfield of Goldsboro; five brothers and their wives; James "Clip" and Teresa Rhodes of Four Oaks, Doug and Judy Rhodes of Four Oaks, Talmadge "Rit" and Lynn Rhodes of Four Oaks, Walter Dale Rhodes and Dean Britt of Four Oaks and Gary Rhodes and Kelly Ivy of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Glenda and Glenn Langston of Four Oaks and Rebecca Regan of Four Oaks.
