Maxine Ennis Taylor, 88, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Parish Family Care in Warsaw, N.C.
Mrs. Taylor was born May 20, 193,0 in Johnston County, N.C., to the late John Ennis and Mary Carter Ennis.
A funeral service will be held 7 p.m., Friday, July 6, 2018, at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw Inc., with visitation to follow the service.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018, in Devotional Gardens, Warsaw, N.C.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by three sons, Jeff Taylor and wife, Kathryn, of Castle Hayne, Robert “Robbie” Taylor and wife, Beverly, of Faison and Frankie Taylor and wife, Anglia, of Mount Olive; daughter, Julia Herring and husband, Kevin, of Kenansville; 10 grandchildren, Victoria Sanders and husband, Mike, Marc Taylor and wife, Holly, Noah Taylor, Ethan Taylor, Georgia Taylor, Parker Taylor, Dana Herring Turnage and husband, Michael, Amberly Herring, Holly Horne and Maxton Herring; and three great-grandchildren, Molly Sanders, and Ethan and Emma Turnage.
She is also survived by one brother, Richard Ennis and wife, Toni, of Mebane; two sisters, Alma Bowden of Mount Olive and Pearline Duranske of Durham; and one sister-in-law, Janie Ennis of Durham.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by husband, Marcus Taylor; son, James Marcus Taylor Jr., brothers, Atlas Ennis and Louis Alvin “Dick” Ennis; and sister, Merline Reiss.

The family will receive friends and family at other times at the home of Julia and Kevin Herring, 149 S. Country Club Drive, Kenansville, N.C., 28349.
The family would like to express its deep appreciation to Mrs. Sharon Parish and staff for all the love and care shown to our mother over the last eight years that she was a resident at Parish Family Care Home of Warsaw.
