Retired United States Air Force Master Sgt. Earl A. Darling Jr., 68, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 02, 2018, surrounded by his family. Born in Rahway, New Jersey on April 20, 1950 he was the son of Alma Wheeler and the late Earl Allen Darling, Sr. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years.

Al will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He enjoyed time spent with family and being a genealogist, researching his family history. Al was a member of the Goldsboro Masonic Lodge #634 A.F. & A.M.

A service of masonic rites will be rendered on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by visitation until 11:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 noon at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro with full military honors.

In addition to his mother, Al is survived by his wife of 44 years, Shirley A. Darling; daughter, Kimberly D. Williams (David Charles Williams) of Wilmington; son, Kris Darling (Gina Darling) of Maryland; sister, Linda Hartney of Iowa; and grandchildren, Brandon Williams, Ava Darling, Allison Williams, Graham Darling, and Trent Darling.
