RUTH J. PELT

Ruth Johnson Pelt, 91, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his family.
Ruth was born in Wayne County, N.C., Dec. 20, 1926, to the late Millard D. Johnson and Mary Martin Johnson. She was married to the late Murray Lee Pelt.
Ruth retired in January 1986 after almost 24 years at O’Berry Center.
She was a member of Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Barry Williamson officiating.
Ruth is survived by her sons, Harvey Dennis Wells and wife, Brenda, of Goldsboro and Ronnie Wells of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Kevin Ray Wells and wife, Shelia, of Franklin and Debra Wells Sauls and husband, Greg, of Goldsboro; seven great grandchildren; and longtime caregiver, Gayle Jones.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 18, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
