Roberta Mae Chapman Fisher, 80, Goldsboro, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at her home surrounded by her family.

Roberta was born in Sharon, Pa., Dec. 20, 1937, to the late Robert and Juanita S. Chapman.

For many years, she and her husband lived in North Canton, Ohio.

After moving to Goldsboro, Roberta and Dan joined First Baptist Church in Goldsboro.

She was a retired registered nurse.

Roberta had a large extended circle of family and friends, who made her happy, and they were all very special to her.

One of her greatest assets was being a great teacher to her husband and family.

Roberta will be missed, but greatly remembered.

A service to celebrate Roberta's life will be Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Goldsboro, with the Rev. Scott Thrailkill and chaplain Ramon Mizell officiating.

The family will greet friends following the service at the church.

Roberta is survived by her husband of 60 years; daughters, Kelly Barrow and husband, Ron, of Goldsboro and Pam Reed and husband, Mike, of Austin, Texas; son, Doug Fisher and wife, Hannah, of Clifton, N.J.; grandchildren, Judson Fisher (Meghan), Aubrey Fisher (Rich), Brady Wiggins (Haley), Allison Barrow, Jennifer Lane (Daniel), Carly Janak (Nathan) and Chaz Reed; and eight great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Window Restoration Project at First Baptist Church, 125 S. John St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530, or Community Home Care and Hospice, 2309 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
