DANTHA J. ALPHIN

Dantha Dee Jones Alphin, 72, passed away Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Jones and Bernice Smith Jones, and wife of the late Dennis Alphin.
She was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Emmaus Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating.
Family members will greet friends following the service at the church.
Mrs. Alphin is survived by a son, Robert Earl Merritt; three daughters, Cathy Ann Merritt, Julie Sizemore and Sandra Dee Merritt; two brothers, James Jones and Phil Jones; sisters, Jean Blackman, Judith Jones and Janet Jones; 11 grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; and five great-grandchildren.
