It is with great sadness that the family of Beverly J. Percy announces her death April 19, 2018, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She was born July 27, 1943, in Portland, Maine, to the late Reginald and Mabel V. Anderson.

Beverly retired as a dietary supervisor with O'Berry Neuro-Medical Treatment Center.

A service to celebrate Beverly's life will be held Monday, April 23, 2018, at 6 p.m. at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lamarr Jackson officiating.

The family will greet friends following the service at the church.

She is survived by her children, Sheri (Mike) Holland of Goldsboro, N.C., and Joseph (B.J.) Percy of Winterville, N.C.; grandchildren, Joey T. (Brittany) Combs, Victoria Holland, Erica Percy, Amber Percy, Michael Holland, Samantha Holland and Isaiah Percy; great-grandson, Zachary Combs; brother, David Anderson of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sisters, Sylvia Mallory of Summerville, S.C., Joanne Haskel of Milford, Mass., Sandra Anderson of Hendersonville, N.C., Linda Anderson of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Bonnie Burris of Goldsboro, N.C.; lifelong friends, Gary and Donna Lanouette and Shirley McDonald of Portland, Maine, Carol Curit of Windham, Maine, and Lynn Solomon of Tennessee; special niece, Jocelyn Outlaw; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is also survived by her special chemo friend, Edward Brewington of Goldsboro, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Laine Hines of Hartford, Conn., and Barbara Rogers of Mechanic Falls, Maine.

The family would like to acknowledge the excellent care provided by Primecare Physicians, Vidant Medical Center and Southeastern Medical Oncology Center. The love and care provided was a great help to Beverly and her family.
