BRITTANY ALLISON WOODARD

June 27, 1991-April 5, 2018

Brittany Allison Woodard, 26, New York City, formerly of Princeton, died early Thursday morning, April 5, 2018, at the home of her father and stepmother.

She was born June 27, 1991, at Duke Hospital in Durham, N.C.

A 2009 graduate of Princeton High School, she also received a Bachelor of Arts degree in media arts and entertainment with a minor in political science from Elon University in 2013.

Brittany moved to New York City directly after college graduation, and worked for a variety of employers (Converse, New York Film Academy, MAHA Partners) from 2013 through early 2015.

In May of 2015, she joined Sony Pictures Entertainment Studios of New York. She was employed as a traffic coordinator, building show formats with commercial insertion.

She also "proudly" volunteered weekly at the Paley Center for Media in New York City.

A memorial service celebrating Brittany's life will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2018, in Rains Crossroads Free Will Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Surviving are her parents, Tim and Joy Woodard of Princeton and Lydia and Dallas Price of Goldsboro; her siblings, Eddie Ryne Woodard of Princeton, Maggie Kristen Banks of Cary and Dallas Blake Price of Goldsboro; grandparents, Eddie and Peggy Woodard of Princeton and Ralph Drumm of Swansboro, N.C.; uncles and aunts, Andy Woodard of Grantsboro, Jeff Drumm (Kris) of Swansboro, N.C., and Mark Holland (Tamatha) of Princeton; and cousins, Spencer Woodard, Jared Drumm, Courtney Drumm and Austin Holland.

Brittany was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Ellen Drumm of Swansboro and Margaret Holland of Princeton.
