SUSIE O. JOHNSTON

Susie Emmaline Overman Johnston, 90, passed away Wednesday morning at home.
She was born in Wayne County to the late Joseph R. and Belle Dunn Overman, and was married to the late Charles O. Johnston.
Susie was a Charter member of Mays Chapel Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jeff Daughtry officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will be receiving friends for one hour prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m.
Mrs. Johnston is survived by three children, Debbie Letchworth, Timothy Johnston and Curtis Johnston and wife, Kim; one sister, Lucille Grady; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Overman and Aaron Overman.
In addition to flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Mays Chapel Church, 118 Ridgecrest Drive., Mount Olive, N.C., 28365.
