Doris Goodson Little, 94, died Monday, March 26, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Albert Neal Goodson and Lossie Lee Alphin Goodson, and wife of the late Alonzo Edward Little.
She loved all things related to Williamsburg, Va., and also enjoyed needlepoint.
She attended First Baptist Church.
A service to celebrate her life will be held by the graveside Sunday, April 8, at 3 p.m. at Willowdale Cemetery, with the Rev. Phyllis Vail officiating.
Family members will greet friends Saturday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
Doris is survived by her daughters, Georgia Little Mast and husband, Thomas Clark Mast, of Reston, Va., and Joan Little Hackmann and husband, Paul Augustus Hackmann, of Goldsboro; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Mast and wife, Jenn, of College Station, Texas, Ali Trivette and husband, Drew, of Williamsburg, Va., Henry Mast of Reston, Va., Kim Dowd and husband, Mike, of Asheville, Robin Leib and husband, Shaun, of Goldsboro, Brooke King and husband, Parker, of Goldsboro and Ted Hackmann and wife, Mary Katherine, of Goldsboro; five great-grandchildren, Benjamin Porter Dowd, Lillian Eva Dowd, Pelham McPhail King, Ashby Clark Mast and Reeda Sloane Leib; and her special caregivers, Delba Johnson and Delores Kinsey.
In addition to flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Skill Creations Foundation, P.O. Box 1664, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533.
