John Wesley "Big John" Wooten Jr., 59, Kinston, formerly of LaGrange, died Monday at UNC Lenoir Health Care Center.
Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Rouse Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of LaGrange, with pastor Charles H. Kittrell Sr. officiating. Interment will be in Saint Matthew Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery of LaGrange.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 to 10:50 a.m. in the church. Saturday, the family will assemble at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Jackson, 202 Pioneer Drive, LaGrange, at 8:45 a.m. for the funeral procession.
Arrangements are by Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service of LaGrange.
