LOTTIE M. RAINS

Lottie Massey Rains died Wednesday evening, March 7, 2018, at Countryside Village in Pikeville, N.C. She was 88 years old.
Born May 15, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Alkie Lehman Massey and Lela Benton Massey. Mrs. Rains was married to the late Lester Duran Rains for 66 years.
She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Lehman Massey, Raymond Massey, Christine Massey Stone and George Massey, and a grandson, John Alden Crain III.
Her survivors include two daughters, Gail Rains Best and husband, Dwight, of Holden Beach, N.C., and Milly Rains Crain and husband, Jack, of Goldsboro, and a son, Robert Lester Rains and wife, Bree, of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.
Grandchildren include Jay Zambelli, Lee Zambelli and wife, Mandy, Andy Crain and wife, Erin, Charlotte Stoppa and husband, Troy, and Brylee, Luke and Lyla Rains.
Great-grandchildren are Pollyanna Zambellli, Avery Crain and Milly, Clara, Daniel and Duran Stoppa.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 10, 2018, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. at Princeton Cemetery, with the Rev. James Harry officiating.
