Jean Sasser Patton, 71, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Duke University Medical Center.
Jean was born in Wayne County, N.C., May 30, 1946, to the late Milford Sasser and Ethel Fulghum Sasser.
She had worked with the State Employees Credit Union.
Jean was a member of Mount Herman Christian Church in Garner.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 10, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Pikeville Cemetery, with pastor Jess Wood officiating.
Jean is survived by her son, Andrew Patton of Raleigh; daughter, Susan Patton of Raleigh; granddaughter, Rachel Patton; sisters, Grace Sarvis and husband, Shelton, of Pikeville and Frances Fitch of Raleigh; and brother, Jimmy Sasser and wife, Elise, of Falkland.
In lieu of flowers, donations to cover funeral costs can be made to the Susan Patton Fund at the State Employees Credit Union.
