Cecil Garrenton Leggett Jr., 68, Pikeville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at Wayne UNC Hospital.
Cecil was born in Martin County Jan. 24, 1950, to Nina Leggett of Bear Grass and the late Cecil Garrenton Leggett Sr.
He worked with American Tractor Sales in Winterville for more than 15 years.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Bear Grass Presbyterian Church in Bear Grass, N.C.
In addition to his mother, Cecil is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sandra Knight Leggett; daughter, Jackie Battles (Jake) of Cary; sister, Jackie Rogerson of Bear Grass; brother, Tony Leggett (Debbie) of Bear Grass; and grandchildren, Jaden Taylor, Jaelyn Battles and Jocelyn Battles.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Joanna "Jodi" Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the Wounded Warrior Project.
