Pauline Sutton Jinnette completed her journey home Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, to the welcoming words, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

Pauline was born in Sampson County Aug. 29, 1926, to the late Albert Sidney Sutton and Iola Matthews Sutton.

She was married for 65 years to Ralph Everette Jinnette, who preceded her in death March 13, 2012.

Pauline lived a life of dedication to her family and friends and to her community.

She served her community in many ways, as well as with her husband in many of his business, civic and charitable activities.

She loved Providence United Methodist Church, and was a dedicated and faithful servant her entire life. Pauline will be remembered by many in days gone by when the church honored her as the best cook at Providence Church.

Pauline was a generous and gracious woman. She will be remembered for the love and laughter that she shared during her well-lived life.

Pauline was the rock of her family; her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew that she loved them with all her heart and truly was a blessing to them. She will be missed.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Providence United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jim Huskins and her nephew, Al Sutton, presiding. A private inurnment will be in the church columbarium.

The family will receive friends Sunday in the hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at her home.

Pauline is survived by her daughter, Linda J. Cooper of Goldsboro; son, Larry Jinnette and wife, Marsha, of Goldsboro; seven grandchildren, Jinnette Irvin Clay and husband, Todd, John Irvin, Elizabeth Irvin, Paula Cooper Lineberry and husband, Chris, Thomas Cooper and wife, NikiLeigh, Rebecca Jinnette and Russell Jinnette and wife, Lindsay; and her great-grandchildchildren, Jessica Rendleman, Landon Lineberry, Katie Irvin, Cole Jinnette, Alyssa Lineberry, Cora Jinnette, Collins Cooper IV and Keith Cooper.

She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Doris Jinnette Herring of Goldsboro, and several nieces and nephews, including her special nephew, Al Sutton.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deana J. Irvin; son-in-law, Thomas Collins Cooper Jr.; son-in-law, Gene Irvin; brother, L.A. Sutton; and sister, Alice Godwin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Pauline's memory to the Community Soup Kitchen, P.O. Box 1064, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533.
