BEVERLY KAY MACQUEEN

Beverly Kay MacQueen, 84, Goldsboro, passed away Wednesday at Wayne UNC Healthcare.

She was the widow of the late George Foster MacQueen.

Born in Enid, Okla., Beverly and her late husband moved to Goldsboro in 1971, and raised their four children here.

Beverly was a longtime member of New Life Baptist Church, and was a public school teacher, along with being very active in the community.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m. at New Life Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ron Varner and the Rev. Rick Mondell officiating.

The family invites friends to a time of casual fellowship prior to the service beginning at 5:30 p.m.

A private burial will be at a later date.

Mrs. MacQueen is survived by two sons, Brent MacQueen (Barbara) of Foster City, Calif., and Kevin MacQueen (Lisa) of LaGrange; two daughters, Sheryl Donaldson of Asheville and Tracy Lee Bass (Kenny Wayne) of Dunn; one brother, Mack Wedel (Sue) of Edmond, Okla.; three sisters, Carol Snell (John) of McPherson, Kan., Patti Zeka (Marti) of Wellington, Kan., and Susan Patterson (Joe) of Kansas City, Kan.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
