JOE CLARKE

July 13, 1975-Feb. 9, 2018

Joseph Nicholas Clarke left this world to be with Jesus Friday afternoon while surrounded by his family.

Joe was a beloved husband, father and friend, whose love for life and others was apparent to all who met him.

Joe was born in Sterling, Va., July 13, 1975, to the late Harold and Alberta Clarke.

He worked in construction with the family business, Bigfoot Inc., where the family assisted families with disaster relief.

Joe provided a wonderful home for his family, and gave all he could to his family and strangers alike.

Joe loved The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was a dedicated and faithful servant.

He had a large extended circle of family and friends that he knew through his work with the church's ministry of Upward Basketball, Men's Basketball League and Judgement House. They were all very special to him.

He will be missed, but greatly remembered.

A service to celebrate Joe's life will be held Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the church pastors officiating.

The family will greet friends following the service at the church and other times at his home.

Interment will be Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Joe is survived by his wife of 24 years, Susie Clarke; sons, Matthew Joseph Clarke (Cassie), Nicholas Blayke Clarke, Joseph Evan Clarke and Kevin Wheeler; brothers, Christopher James Clarke and Harold Clarke II; sister, Lori Ann Quintero; adopted son, Kevin Wheeler; and several nieces and nephews he loved very much.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in Joe's memory to The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1100 The First Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.

Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.seymourfuneralhome.com.
