George William Summerlin, 78, Goldsboro, died Friday at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Funeral is today at 2 p.m. in the New Testament Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jackie Elwart officiating.
He was born in Wayne County on Dec. 17, 1938, to the late David Conard Summerlin and Sallie Neal Summerlin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Sue Summerlin.
He is survived by two daughters; and three sons.
