Laura Wade Fail, 73, Pikeville, passed away Monday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

She was the daughter of the late Joe and Bobbie Wade, and wife of the late Charles B. Fail Jr.

She was a seamstress with Lori Manufacturing, and a member of Rosewood Church of God.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom McClendon and the Rev. Wayne Goff officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Committal services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Fail is survived by a son, Jay Fail and wife, Lynn, of Pikeville; two daughters, Sharon Fail Paine of Pikeville and Kimberly Evans and husband, Martin, of Pikeville; a sister, Beverly Dorman and husband, Dale, of Kenansville; eight grandchildren, Morgan Evans, Blake Evans, Adam Evans, Amanda Turnage and husband, Terry, Joshua Poole and wife, Kelly, Joey Poole and wife, Renee, Johanna Luckinbill and husband, Don, and Brian Paine; and nine great-grandchildren, Logan Turnage, Cooper Turnage, Tucker Turnage, Jayce Poole, Kole Poole, Jayden Windham, Preston Luckinbill, Madison Paine and Elayna Paine.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Fail was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth Wade, Dwight Wade and Joe Wade Jr., and sisters, Kathy Parnell and Brenda Parrish.
