Alva Virginia Jackson, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at 6 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends following the service.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.

Mrs. Jackson was born in Pennsylvania Nov. 13, 1936, to the late James Robert and Alva Hartzell Williamson.

She was a member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Goldsboro.

She is survived by three sons, Clifton B. Jackson Jr. of Warrenton, N.C., James F. Jackson (Doug Faulkner) of Ohio and David J. Jackson (Angie) of Wade, N.C.; her daughter, Carole Lynn Jackson Charles (Andrew) of Goldsboro; 10 grandchildren, Liza Jackson Adcock, Elijah Jackson (Megan), C.B. Jackson, William Jackson, Addie Jackson, Anna Jackson Vos (Elliott), James Jackson, Ryan Fagan (Jasmine), Tim Fagan and David Anthony Jackson (Hasret); six great-grandchildren, John Adcock, Jackson Adcock, Caroline Jackson, Bryce Jackson, Ruby Vos and Rory Vos; special friends, Shirley and Tim Hatcher, Michele Ray and Kimberly and Rocky Fretz; and her significant other, Roger S. Anderson of Goldsboro.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Jackson.
