Frederick “Fred” Lester Jones died Monday.
Funeral will be Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of Kenly Funeral Service with Bishop Danny Nelson and the Rev. Phillip Lewis officiating. Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Jones Family Cemetery.
He was born in Johnston County on March 26, 1934, to the late Johnny and Flonnie Willoughby Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Gaynelle Davis Jones; two sons; and one daughter.
Visitation is Thursday from 5:30 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
