On Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, God quietly took Emma Coley Ford Stallings home to eternal rest at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, N.C.

She was born on Jan. 15, 1925 in Goldsboro, North Carolina, to the late Hettie Bell Coley and Johnny Atkinson.

The celebration of her life will be held on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at noon at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommy's Road, Goldsboro, N.C. She will be laid to rest at the Elmwood Cemetery, Goldsboro, N.C. There will be a viewing held on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home, 1701 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C.

She is survived by her daughter, Alberta Ford of Fayetteville, N.C.; daughter-in-law, Doris Ford, widow of Raeford Ford; and three grandchildren: Eric (Cyntrell) Mays of Houston, Texas, Meghan M. (Treason) Scipio of San Antonio, Texas, and Brandon (Shanty) Artis of Snellsville, Ga.

She was married to the late Oze Ford and later married to the late Robert Stallings. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three children: Rayford Ford, LaForest Ford Mays and Ozzie Ford Jr.; and son-in-law, Moses E. Mays.

Services of compassionate and distinguished class entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home of Goldsboro.
