Edward Royce Gilbert Sr., age 73, passed away Monday at his residence.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Generation Church, 3016 Summit Road, with Pastor Josh Clark officiating, preceded by a viewing at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held immediately following the service at the church. A committal service, with full military honors, will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Eastern Carolina Veterans State Cemetery.
Mr. Gilbert is survived by his wife, Bonnie Gilbert; his children; and a host of family and friends.
