BERNICE 'BERNIE' LEROY HINNANT

Bernice "Bernie" Leroy Hinnant, 73, Buck Swamp Road, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at Wayne UNC Health Care.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hinnant was born Aug. 12, 1944, in Wayne County to the late William Logan and Lillian Adele Baker Hinnant.

He previously owned and operated Mid-State Exterminating Co., and was a member of Pike's Crossroads Pentecostal Holiness Church in Pikeville.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 49 years, Diane Hinnant; four daughters, Beverly Weeks and husband, Richard, of Goldsboro, Debbie Pierce and husband, Larry, of Benson, Michelle Smith and husband, Darrell, of Atlanta, Ga., and Sharon Cox and husband, Michael, of Mount Olive; his brother, William Logan Hinnant Jr. and wife, Pat, of Princeton; two sisters, Peggy Phillips and husband, Randy, of Goldsboro and Lillian Best and husband, Jr., of Goldsboro; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
