Ellen Newman, 80, Goldsboro went to heaven peacefully at home Monday with her loving daughter, Robin, by her side.
Mrs. Newman was a former employee of the Wayne County school system.
She enjoyed sewing, puzzle books and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Newman was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stanley Newman Sr., and son, Stanley Newman Jr.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ruby and John Pullen of Goldsboro; daughters, Robin Newman of Goldsboro and Tammi Newman of Arkansas; grandson, Dillan and wife, Tori; great-grandson, Michael; and great-granddaughter, Melanie.
She is also survived by five additional grandchildren and one additional great-grandchild.
