LUCILLE HARE DAIL and LARRY EDWARD DAIL

July 11, 1951-July 29, 2017

Jan. 3, 1947-July 30, 2017

Lucille Hare Dail, 66, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Vidant Medical Center, and Larry Edward Dail, 70, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his family.

Lucille was born in Duplin County July 11, 1951, to the late Namon and Viola Gray Hare.

She loved camping and her dogs, but most of all, her family. Lucille was the rock of her family; her husband and children knew that she loved them with all her heart and truly was a blessing to them.

Larry was born in Wayne County Jan. 3, 1947, to the late Loyd and Dorothy Lucille Honeycutt Dail.

He had proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and was a retired truck driver.

Larry loved the same interest as his wife, but will be remembered for his love of fishing and for his ability to piddle and repair virtually anything.

They will be sorely missed here on earth, but we take solace in the fact that they have now been rejoined with each other.

A service to celebrate Lucille's and Larry's lives will be held Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Interment will be in Faison Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.

Lucille and Larry are survived by their son, Lynwood Strickland and wife, April, of Fremont; daughter, Samantha Strickland of Fremont; daughter, Susan Dail Crespo and husband, Thomas, of Greenville, Pa.; daughter, Sandy Gurley of Goldsboro; and grandchildren, Nikki Strickland and Jonathan Crespo.

Lucille is also survived by her brothers, Luther Hare and wife, Cheryl, Buck Hare and wife, Terrie, and Larry Gray, and sisters, Ann Beck and Donnie Busdieker and husband, Gary.

Larry is also survived by his sister, Jean Strickland, and brother, Allen Dail and wife, Gerri.

They are also survived by a special nephew, Billy Williams and his daughters, Christine, Dacie and Alexis.

In addition to their parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her sister, Christine Hare.

Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.seymourfuneralhome.com.
