MARIAN GRAY HINSON
June 23, 1925-May 22, 2017
Marian Gray Hinson, 91, Goldsboro, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Marian was born in Washington, D.C., June 23, 1925, to the late Jesse James Gray and Esther Melvin Gray. She was married to the late Harold Lloyd Hinson.
Her most significant role in life, and what she did best, was being a loving mother.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 24, 2017, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service to celebrate Marian's life at 3:30 p.m. at the graveside in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Sabena Ann Uzzell and husband, Malcolm, of Goldsboro; son, Don Ennis Hinson and wife, Frances, of Goldsboro; brothers, Donald Gray of Granite Falls and Milton Gray of Egg Harbor, N.J.; grandchildren, Catherine Bennett, Suzanne Rhodes and husband, Timmy, Donna Hinson, David Hinson and wife, Leslie, Daniel Mitchell and wife, Kim, and Pandy Ellis and husband, Steve; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Randy Hinson and James Edward Hinson; grandson, Daniel Robert Hinson; and son-in-law, R.G. Williams Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the charity of one's choice.
