Eva Best, 83, 312 Warren Ave., Kinston, died Sunday.
Funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Mount Calvary Free Will Baptist Church of LaGrange. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery of LaGrange.
She was born Jan. 24, 1934, to June Underwood and Malachi Godwin in Wayne County.
She is survived by four children.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m., with the family present 5 to 6, at Haskins Funeral Home. The family will assemble at the church for the funeral service.
