LINA S. ANGSTADT

Feb. 20. 1930 -May 13, 2017

Lina Stanaland Angstadt, 87, Goldsboro, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

Lina was born in Brunswick County on Feb. 20, 1930, to the late William Ernest Stanaland and Mary Parker Stanaland.

She had worked for many years as a legal secretary for Moses and Diehl Law Office and was a member of Saulston United Methodist Church. Lina brought joy, laughter and love to her family and the many others she met. We were lucky to have her in our lives, and the world will be a sadder place without her.

A service to celebrate Lina's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, in the sanctuary of Saulston United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bryan Huffman and the Rev. Carolyn Simms officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. Interment will be in the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Lina is survived by her husband of 48 years, Eugene Edward Angstadt; sons, Ronald Earl Prince and wife, Marcia, of Goldsboro, Michele Ernest Prince and wife, Patricia, of Wrightsville Beach, and Samuel Owens Prince and wife, Linda, of Virginia Beach, Va.; brothers, Vestal Parker Stanaland of Longwood and Jerry Deon Stanaland of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; four grandchildren, Ronald Jeffrey Prince (Jenny), Megan Prince Worrell, Michelle Prince, and Bevin Prince Friend (William); and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in Lina's memory to Saulston United Methodist Church, 4620 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
