EDNA LASSITER STARLING

Edna Lassiter Starling, 85, Princeton, passed away Monday morning at her home.
She was born May 5, 1931, to the late Nathan Lassiter and Effie Mae Pearce Lassiter.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Starling Sr.; a grandson, Jason Ray Starling; and brothers, Nathan Lassiter Jr., Thurman Lassiter, Gardner Lassiter and Paul Lassiter.
The funeral service will take place Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at 7 p.m. in Casey Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Kelley Buffaloe and the Rev. Jeff Barnes officiating. The burial will be held Thursday, March 9, 2017, in Princeton Cemetery at 11 a.m.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Susie Kornegay and husband, Danny, of Princeton; sons and daughter-in-law, Donald Ray Starling Jr. and wife, Connie, Ronald Steve Starling and Nathan Wade "Johnnie" Starling all of Princeton; brothers, Tommy Lassiter, Dave Lassiter, Randolph "Monk" Lassiter and John Thomas "Rock" Lassiter all of Princeton; sister, Margie L. Pipkin of Princeton; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Casey Funeral Home chapel.
