Dixie Lee "Shade" Tripp, 65, LaGrange, died Saturday at home.
Funeral will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with pastor Larry Turlington officiating. Committal service will be at Eastern Carolina State Veteran's Cemetery at a later time.
He was born July 6, 1951, in Pitt County to the late Redden Rowan Tripp and Clara Mae Smith Tripp.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Ellis Tripp, and three children.
Visitation will follow the service Tuesday.
