Christine McCall Campbell, 90, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Christine was born in Stedman, N.C., on Aug. 4, 1926, to the late Alexander and Lou Mallie Autry McCall.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Campbell.

Family was very important to Christine, and she had a deep love and commitment to them.

Christine had a passion for being out in the garden working and enjoyed growing flowers and roses.

She loved the Lord with all of her heart and enjoyed worshipping at Goldsboro Wesleyan Church, Victory Free Will Baptist Church and most recently at St. Luke United Methodist Church.

Christine had been blessed with the gift of working with children and shared her talent at all three churches by working in the church nurseries.

She also worked for many years as a secretary with the Goldsboro City Schools and prior to that was an Avon representative.

A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke United Methodist Church with the Rev. Adam Seate officiating.

Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

Christine is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Whitesell and husband, Bob, of Goldsboro, Susan Durham and husband, Richard, of Goldsboro, and Danna Kelly Faver and husband, Rhett, of Siler City; sister Maude Thompson of Beaufort; six grandchildren, Joey Whitesell, Jonathan Whitesell, Julie Whitesell Hall and husband, Jeff, Jennifer Blizzard and husband, Jereme, Erin Harwood and husband, Todd, and Alex Kelly; her great-grandchildren, Gracie Whitesell, Jacob Whitesell, Wade Hall, Wyatt Hall, Jackson Blizzard, Mallie Blizzard, Harper Harwood and Campbell Harwood.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
