SCOTT A. GOODWIN
Scott Alan Goodwin, 49, died Dec. 26, 2016 at 3:45 p.m. He was a native of Goldsboro, N.C., and a resident of Houma, La.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, from 5 p.m. until the memorial service at 7 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma, La.
He is survived by his two precious daughters, Julia Michelle Goodwin and Annabelle Rose Goodwin; father, Ike Howell Goodwin, and stepmother, Linda Goodwin; brother, Jay H. Goodwin; nephews, Clark and Alec Goodwin, Ben, Michael and Thomas Peters and Kenneth Simon; niece, Caroline Peters; and former wife, Suzanne R. Simon, and her family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Bishop Goodwin; and his paternal grandparents, Kemp and Juanita Goodwin.
Scott attended North Carolina State University where he earned a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in theater, and East Carolina University where he earned his MBA.
All who knew him would say that his heart belonged to his two beautiful daughters, Julia and Annabelle. He often remarked they were his "perfect contribution to the world."
Scott was an introspective thinker with a gift for satirical humor and had an infectious smile. He was a kind and gentle soul and will be forever missed by his daughters, father, stepmother, brother, nephews, niece, family and friends and all who loved him.
