DORIS J. WILSON

Doris Jean Jarman Wilson, 74, of Statesville, N.C. died Dec. 22, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Laura Juanita Jarman Barfield. She is also preceded in death by a son, Todd Wilson.
She was an educator for the Iredell-Statesville school system for over 30 years.
Survivors include her husband, George Wilson Jr.; daughter, Tonya Reid, and son, George Wilson III (Annissia); four sisters, Annette McDonald (Joseph), Mary McKoy (Johnnie), Stephene Cox (Ashely), Bridgette Barfield; two brothers, Walter Barfield and Larry Ward; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service to celebrate Mrs. Wilson's life will be held Thursday, Dec. 29, at Statesville High School.
Nicholson Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
