KATHLEEN FAIL

Kathleen Dail Fail, a native of Mount Olive, passed away after a battle with cancer on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016. Kathleen resided in Raleigh since 1962, after moving from Goldsboro. She was previously a member of Millbrook Baptist Church and currently a member of Bay Leaf Baptist Church. She retired from Ravenscroft School after over 20 years of service.

Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, neighbor, friend and follower of Christ.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Kathy Marie Freeman and son-in-law, Scott; grandchildren, Abbey Haglund and husband, Sean, Corey Freeman and Zachary Freeman and wife, Lauren; great-grandson, William Freeman; and sisters, Ethel Heath and Mary-Ann Brinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ralph Fail Sr.; sons, Ralph, David and Jackie; and sisters, Ruth Best and Margaret Dail.

A celebration honoring Kathleen's life will be held on Thursday, Dec. 29, at Bay Leaf Baptist Church, 12200 Bayleaf Church Road, Raleigh, N.C., 27614 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 10-10:45 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 U.S. Hwy. 117 S., Goldsboro, N.C. 27530.
