HAZEL COX MARTIN

Hazel Cox Martin, 86, formerly of Princeton, passed away at Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016.
She was born June 27, 1930, to the late Hubert Micaagie and Alma Holt Cox.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Blackie" Lester Martin; a brother, Glenn B. Cox; and a sister, Doris Britt.
Mrs. Martin retired from the Johnston County Tax Office, and she was a member of Riverside Free Will Baptist Church.
The funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at Casey Funeral Home chapel at 6 p.m., with the Rev. Dennis Pollock and the Rev. Kevin Phillips officiating. The burial will take place Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at 3 p.m. in Princeton Cemetery.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis "Buddy" Martin and wife, Lynn, of Princeton and Kenneth Martin and girlfriend, Barbara Darden, of Princeton; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Hall and husband, John, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Lisa Worley Gunn and husband, Matthew, Lori Worley Medeiros and husband, D.J., Amanda Martin Godwin and husband, Steven, Staff Sgt. Jason Gordon Martin and Kelly Brooke Martin; and great-grandchildren, Madison Gunn, Martin Gunn, Laila Medeiros and Saylor Medeiros.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Casey Funeral Home chapel Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016. At other times, the family will be at the home of Carolyn Hall, 207 Woodhaven Drive, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530
