Mr. Moses Earl Brodie, 65, 1405 Poplar St., died Friday morning at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at noon at New Stoney Hill United Holy Church, 1003 Poplar St., Goldsboro, with Dr. H.E. McNair officiating, followed by military rites.
Interment will take place Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veteran Cemetery, 164 Long's Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro.
Public visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 7 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mr. Brodie was born May 29, 1951, to Johnnie Brodie and Lonnie M. Smith Brodie in Pikeville, N.C.
He is survived by four children, Command Sgt. Maj. Ciearro M. Faulk and wife, Sonya, of Raleigh, Moses E. Brodie Jr. (Renette) of Goldsboro, Lakicia M. Vick and husband, Timothy, and Kawana Monk-Smith and husband, B.J., all of Goldsboro; nine grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; brother, Roychester Brodie; sister. Carlene Brodie both of Goldsboro; a special friend, Gertie Coley; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Hamilton Funeral Chapel is serving the family.
