Ronnie Eugene Faircloth, 61, Goldsboro, passed away suddenly Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Ronnie was born in Wayne County Feb. 24, 1955, to the late Hubert "Tobe" Faircloth and Mary Massey Faircloth.

He owned and operated East Way Automotive in Goldsboro.

Ronnie was a true sportsman who was most comfortable outdoors. He loved all sports and especially racing horses.

Above all, Ronnie enjoyed being with his family and the apple of his eye, his grandchildren.

A service celebrating Ronnie's life will be held Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Georgia Humphrey Faircloth; son, Ronnie Eugene "Toby" Faircloth II and Beth Tyner; and his grandchildren, Ronnie Eugene "Trey" Faircloth III, Gavin Cole Faircloth and Bailee Tyner.

He is also survived by his sisters, Gertrude Tyner and Ethel Britt; brothers, Danny Faircloth, Mike Faircloth and Donald Faircloth; mother-in-law and father-in-law, JoAnn and George Humphrey; brother-in-law, Tommy Humphrey; sister-in-law, Sandra Burnette; and many friends he enjoyed spending time with.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles McCullen; brother-in-law, Jerry Humphrey; and sister-in-law, Kristie Humphrey.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the charity of one's choice.
