Arthur Paul Culbreth, 72, Goldsboro, passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.

Art was born in Wayne County May 5, 1944, to the late Chester G. Culbreth and Inez Price Culbreth.

He had retired as an electrical contractor for himself, having owned and operated Culbreth Electrical Services.

Art was a member of Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He had a great love for sports, and for many years coached Little League baseball.

Family was paramount to Art, and he loved nothing more than his wife, children and grandchildren.

A service celebrating Art's life will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with his pastor, Jeff Dail, officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.

Interment will be Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at 11 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.

Art is survived by his wife of 51 years, Polly Howell Culbreth; son, Anthony Culbreth and wife, Christy; daughter, Pam Culbreth; grandchildren, Jennifer C. Rose and husband, Allen, Jacob Culbreth and Alyssa Culbreth; a great-granddaughter, Carsyn Rose; and special brother-in-law, Ed Smith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Allen Culbreth, and a grandchild, baby girl Culbreth.
