Died Sept. 24, 2016
Mr. Ernest Reid, 602 Robinson Place, died Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at noon at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joe Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Old Mill Cemetery, Central Heights Road.
A public viewing will be held Wednesday from 2 to 7 p.m.
Mr. Reid was the son of James and Jessie Reid of Forsyth County, N.C., and the husband of Thelma Coley Reid.
He is survived by one son, Eric Reid of Chapel Hill, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Hamilton Funeral Chapel is serving the family.
