Beverly Jean Rains, 63, Goldsboro, passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family and friends.
Beverly was born in Charleston, S.C., Sept. 11, 1953, to the late John Tommy Rains and Eunice Jernigan Rains.
She had retired from Cherry Hospital.
Beverly was a member of Antioch Presbyterian Church.
A service celebrating Beverly's life will be held Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at 1 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Kelly Buffaloe officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Beverly is survived by her sister, Vickie R. Howell (Jerry) and daughter, Haley; sister, Jill R. Davis; brother, Timothy Dale Rains (Sharma) and children, Wil and Keaton; and a very special treasured cat, Pumpkin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a special cousin, Linda Turner.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Vickie and Jerry Howell, 434 Friendly Drive, Goldsboro.
