WILLHELMENIA S. PEELE

Willhelmenia Stroud Peele, 87, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. She was born in Wayne County on Oct. 9, 1928, to the late Kirby and Gladys Lancaster Stroud.
Willhelmenia was married to the late George Robert Peele. She was a loving farmer's wife, mother and grandmother.
A service of remembrance will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Howard Seymour officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday following the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of George Peele, 2049 Mark Edwards Road. A private family interment will be held at the George R. Peele Family Cemetery.
Willhelmenia is survived by her daughter, Jerry Shell and husband, Ron of Millbrook, Ala.; sons, Robert Peele and wife, Donna of Goldsboro and George Peele of Goldsboro; five grandchildren, Melissa Shell, Amy Shell, Jonathan Shell, Ciji Jaglal and Brad Peele; 10 great-grandchildren; special cousin, Ann Smith and husband, Ken of Goldsboro.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Bender.
